Follow-up Comment #1, sr #107567 (project administration): Maybe it is related to stale repository locks.
The latest example of a repeat diff is: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-diffs/2011-03/msg00019.html I was the next person to make a commit after this. When I tried to commit, I got the message that the repository was locked by kbrow1i@vcs-noshell, and had been for 9 hours. I broke the locked and commited. On the other hand this could just be a coincidence.
