Follow-up Comment #11:
sysadmins enabled ssi for nongnu in *.html -- it was an oversight that it had
not been re-enabled :(. I tested it in one of my projects
(http://www.nongnu.org/listhelper/) and it looked good to me now. (No SSI
conditional there, though, hope it still flies.)
