Hello,apache fop is able to use fonts located in Jar-archiv if <auto-detect/> is configured.
The MANIFEST.MF must include the font names with the base font of a font family _prior_ the other family members:
http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/0.95/fonts.html#autodetect It would be nice to have such a freefont.jar for download. With kind regards Jörg
