This seems like a bug in savannah's markup processing.
The markup support in savannah could use
some attention (and perhaps it's time to support more common mark-down/).
Sadly, we currently do not have the man-power to address it.

On the bright-side, we've just made hacking on savannah's PHP code much
easier.
