Summary: would like to be able to edit ticket content after submission Group: Savannah Administration Submitter: keithmarshall Submitted: Mon 25 Aug 2025 08:34:07 PM GMT Category: Savannah trackers - bugs, tasks, etc. Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Email: Operating System: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon 25 Aug 2025 08:34:07 PM GMT By: Keith Marshall <keithmarshall> Having previously maintained projects on SourceForge, and on (now apparently defunct) OSDN.net, I often had occasion to edit malformed ticket content, _after_ its submission. This is a feature which, frustratingly, appears to be unavailable on savannah trackers. As a prime example of why such a feature might be considered to be fundamentally necessary, please refer to https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?60927. Comment 10, on this ticket, added an horrendously long URL, verbatim, and all on one line; the effect has been to introduce horizontal overflow, adding a very long horizontal scroll bar to the page, and so making it virtually unreadable, (or, at best very uncomfortable to read). Furthermore, the effect is _not_ restricted to the offending comment, but has propagated to the entire content of the ticket. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.nongnu.org/support/?111305> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.nongnu.org/
