These links are served via the volunteer run mirror system for GNU/nongnu
Savannah: they should work reasonably well at any time. The system is new,
however, and there may be occasional glitches. Moreover, Bob has been working
to improve and expand them frequently this month, and likely for some little
while. Maintenance could, I think, also explain a strage (perhaps) one-off
error, such as this.
We currently use a DNS round-robin to select a mirror for each visitor/DNS
querier; it may be possible to work around "glitches" by trying again (maybe a
few times), in case just one of the mirrors is having difficulty.
Opening a new ticket for us if you suspect prolonged difficulty with the
mirrors (or other things) is much appreciated, of course.
Thanks for reporting the problem you saw. I'll go ahead and close this ticket
but you can reply again if that is most convenient and we can resume
investigating this.
