Follow-up Comment #12, sr #111410 (group administration): Dave, It looks like the messages you cite were never sent as an email. The message you cite was sent on May 23 and I find no mail logs for any mail sent on that day.
Obviously something happened. There have been some pretty bad meltdowns
recently and so maybe that was the cause. Recently we had a storage network
failure and systems basically operated without a root file system for a while.
In that case it would have been unable to send messages and would have been
unable to log information about it either. It's beyond what I remember and
there are no logs showing what happened. I miss my younger brain where I
could remember all of the details but even though this is only just over a
week ago I have forgotten any details that I might have known then. Also this
is dealing with the web frontend code which I generally have not been involved
with. But it does seem like those messages were not sent as an email for some
reason.
All of the messages that actually made it into an email message appear to have
been sent. The comments in that bug ticket that you cite have no record of
ever having become an email.
Please keep an eye on it and if you find another then please report it while
it is as fresh as possible. That will be our best way to try to figure out
what is happening.
