RE: CVS instead of SVN
Not a problem, cvs is fine for me.
RE: Why separate from GSL
GSL is maintained primarily by Brian Gough, and he has set up an
extension system for developing 'proposed' extensions to GSL. MSL is working
toward the level of stability guaranteed by GSL, but it's not there yet.
Later as code becomes more mature it may migrate into the official GSL
distribution.
