I hope that we are not all dead when GPL v3 is out...
Also, you realize that GPL was written for the US (?) market. But the
free/open (RMS forbid) software movement is quite more expansive. Plus, all
this is (almost) theoretical.
In the meantime I _really_ think that the planned v3 (or whatever) text must
get wider publicity (by getting posted and/or commented somewhere) and an
effort must be made for the globalization of this license.
