Thanks for providing enlightening answers to my questions.
As far as Savannah is concerned, there's no problem with your project, and I
approved it.
Now, as a personal statement, here's what I expected a priori from your
project, which may explains why I asked for precisions.
I imagined you could provide additionnal GCC command-line options that would
enable identifiers to be written in UTF-8 (which is backward-compatible with
7-bit ASCII) and hence in any Indic language, without relying on front-ends.
(Similarly, you can tell GCC to support non-standard features, such as
non-ISO nested C functions)
I have no clue whether this solution is actually possible.
I'm pretty sure the GCC/Flex/etc. authors would be interested by knowing
about your efforts, by the way :)
