Follow-up Comment #2, task #9049 (project administration):
"official gnu" just means they checked that box on the form, often by mistake
or accident, despite all our warnings about it. it doesn't mean it actually
is. you have to check the maintainers file for the authoritative answer.
(and this certainly isn't.)
