Hi Derek -- as Sylvain wrote originally, you can edit the descriptions at
https://savannah.gnu.org/mail/admin/?group=cvs and then they will show up for
users at https://savannah.gnu.org/mail/?group=cvs.
It's entirely independent of the descriptions in mailman (unfortunately), but
that's not likely to change in the foreseeable future.
