Swapnil replied in private again, enclosing an updated version. It seems to be
OK.
I would however strongly recommend to take a different approach: instead of
modifying vte to work with indic scripts, you should make the changes as an
independent package. I don't know if vte supports plugins, but some kind of
mechanism should exist. This way GNU/Linux distributions can distribute your
package independently.
