Hi Russell -- I see you wrote to gnueval-input about this too, which is good.
It's an interesting question and certainly a very interesting project. I
don't think we can make it a GNU package until it is farther along, but I see
no reason not to approve this as nongnu for now, if that suits. It's easy to
switch later.
Will you be talking to rms at some point to gather information? That could be
a good time at which to broach the subject of it becoming GNU. This is an
unprecedented case, so involving him earlier rather than later seems
desirable.
