Thank you for the interest in GNU Savannah.
somewhat unlike other source-code hosting services, savannah's resources are
limited - and one-off testing projects are discouraged.
If you wish to host a project which you intend to develop and maintain in the
long-term, hosting it on savannah is a good option.
If you wish to learn more about SVN, see the svn wiki page at:

Or experiment with existing projects using svn, e.g.:
