Savannah is a hosting platform for the GNU Project. The GNU Project offers
its resources to other packages in order to be able to copy code and
documentation from them. The GFDL is the license of the GNU Project for
documentation, so when some manual is released incompatibly with the GFDL, the
GNU Project can't use it.
The bottom line is: if our licensing policies conflict with your philosophy,
you shouldn't host your software on Savannah.
