Follow-up Comment #5, task #16293 (project administration): If one wants to encrypt/decrypt data, they would better use a well-developed solution like GnuPG. When cryptographic software isn't written by experts, it tends to have major vulnerabilities. For instance, the first glance at this program reveals that the password is only supplied via the command line, in other words, other users on the same computer can see it unless those who run the program take extra steps to protect it; then, the used encryption method implies that e.g. those who know a part of the message longer than the password can easily decrypt the whole message.
