The function {false} would indeed be a much better default, avoiding
later problems with that typing violation.
You _can_ compare functions, it's just something you should do with
care -- for an example of that see the switch() operator which
declares itself infallible only if it has an infallible child with the
{true} selection predicate.
So if the function is {false}, then it's the default (I don't see why
the user would want to use that one) and you can use the provided
user/password, otherwise, use the function.
