Hi,
I think that one answer out of two in the -users mailing list start with
"please use the SVN version", and there are 778 downloads of the beta. We
really should release the 1.0 right now, and make bugfix releases later on
if necessary. The current state of the trunk is quite stable and tested. The
release does not have to be perfect, just useable by the majority of people.
So, what are the really big blockers for a release right now?
