David Baelde commented on LS-396: --------------------------------- I'll assume that this bug is only about unsafe uses of variable numbers of channels. Discussing how to type outputs ("have a precise type" vs. "allow content that will be unused") is another story... it seems that we can't reach a consensus yet: no good argument, not enough use cases. So... A grep in liquidsoap --list-plugins reveals that the only operators using variable arities are: (regexp: =\*) audio_to_stereo, (regexp: ='[^#]) drop_*, empty and noise. In here, only drop does not actually support variable arities. I'll fix it now. > Find abusive operators types > ---------------------------- > > Key: LS-396 > URL: http://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/LS-396 > Project: Liquidsoap > Issue Type: Task > Components: Liquidsoap > Reporter: David Baelde > Assignee: David Baelde > Priority: Important > Fix For: 1.0 > > > There should be very few operators with variable content type. It's likely > that we have a couple that claim such support but don't really handle > variable content properly. We should try to list those builtins and review > them. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://dev.sourcefabric.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity and more.
