David Baelde commented on LS-593: --------------------------------- It's not a warning it's an error (because people would not read warnings, especially when the script is ran from /etc/init.d/liquidsoap) but you can turn it into a warning by passing --errors-as-warnings. You're welcome to change -i so that it displays the type of the total expression when it is not unit. But I doubt it would ever be useful, because calling "liquidsoap --errors-as-warnings -i 3" is quite unpleasant compared to "liquidsoap --interactive". > Allow -i on scripts not returning sources > ----------------------------------------- > > Key: LS-593 > URL: http://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/LS-593 > Project: Liquidsoap > Issue Type: Bug > Reporter: Samuel Mimram > Assignee: David Baelde > > In order to check the type of 5 (or something more complicated...) the > natural thing is to do the following > $ ./liquidsoap -i '5' > At line 1, char 1: The result of evaluating this term will be dropped, but > it does not have type unit or active_source. Use ignore(...) if you meant > to drop it, otherwise this is a sign that your script does not do > what you intend. > Could -i modify the behavior so that we can check the type of script whose > result is not a source? Of course I can use liquidsoap -i 'x = 5' but it took > me 5 minutes with internet to figure this out... -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://dev.sourcefabric.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your Android app more play: Bring it to the BlackBerry PlayBook in minutes.
