Francesco P. Sileno commented on LS-626:
----------------------------------------

Whops, I realized only now that comments on file attaches are to be intended as
standard comments! :/

However, in crash-bis.tar.gz you'll find the liquidsoap log wich includes the
output of the GDB command you asked, and the file that crashes liquidsoap
sistematically.

It's an AAC file, it starts playing and run fine for a while, then the crash.
VLC is able to play that file to the end (no surprise, VLC can play anything),
and Audacity can open it - so I guess that the file is not corrupted.

Just for reference:

root@microserver:~# ldd /usr/lib/liquidsoap/1.0.0/plugins/faad.cmxs
        linux-vdso.so.1 =>  (0x00007fff1998e000)
        libfaad.so.2 => /usr/lib/libfaad.so.2 (0x00007f356aa4a000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (0x00007f356a68d000)

And for the stress on libmad, I'm afraid that you have seen only a little part
of the things that has been placed in that "music archive". :)

Let me know if I can give more informations!

> With random times, liquidsoap crashes and kernel report following message:
> Aug  4 13:41:07 microserver kernel: [321135.085369] liquidsoap[18490]:
> segfault at 11 ip 00007f033db9402c sp 00007f0327d10588 error 4 in
> libc-2.15.so[7f033db11000+1b3000]
> Nothing strange seems to be reported in the logs.
> The user with which liquidsoap is running on, has been given maximum realtime
> priority trough limits.conf.
> The anomaly could be in the music archive, really messed up and sometime with
> corrupted file name, so messed up that current version of Airtime can not
> correctly handle it (see
> http://forum.sourcefabric.org/discussion/14321/force-reindex-of-media-files).
> I'm attaching both configuration and log file. And kernel log, with all the
> crashes reported.
