Hi Karye !
I've been playing with {{{smart_crossfade}}} yesterday, and couldn't
reproduce your issue.
However, I'm wondering if there could some misunderstanding on the use of
{{{smart_crossfade}}}. Indeed, in some cases, the transition that is
selected is a sequence, hence if the songs end or begin with some silence
you will hear it.
I've tweaked a bit the function in order to add some flexibility to it,
please find a patch attached. The changes are:
* Parametrize default transition when no rules apply, default: cross
without fade
* Parametrize medium, high and margin values, raised medium to {{{-15.}}}
* Add more logs to understand how the transition is selected
