Hi.
The "end of the current overriding" is caused by an end of track. This
might have been caused by some transition. But I don't think that it is
smart_crossfade() since that one should only remove track limits, not add
any. My advice in any case is to apply the gain modification as soon as
possible, but setting the amplify() operator immediately above the source
producing tracks, e.g. playlist() or request.dynamic().
If you don't find an issue, please post (excerpts of) your script.
