#231: JACK causes silent failures when frame rate is low. No recovery or logging
is done

Type: Bugs | Status: assigned
Priority: 3 | Milestone: 0.9.0
Component: Liquidsoap | Version: 0.9.0+svn

Netbsd: 1 | Other: 1
Freebsd: 1 |

Comment (by toots):
Ok, I can clearly reproduce.
The deadlock seems to come from the non-buffered mode, where everything
takes place in the same thread.
Before I start to dig the issue, could you try in buffered mode ? adding
{{{buffer_size = 1}}} instead of {{{buffer_size = 0}}}. I think it would
result in the same latency, but it should work better.
Also, probably setting 2 is even better.
In case this fixes the issue, I think we can simply remove the
"unbuffered" mode, it was a hack and should have the same latency has
{{{buffer_size = 1}}}.
Please, let us know :)
