Comment:
I understand this as a simple feature request: make an operator that
allows external scripts to process the current volume level. This could be
either by calling the script every N seconds with the current level, or by
exporting a server command that returns the current level.
Passing the data to RRD, a LCD monitor or anything else would be left to
the user.
