ok. i got it. site has updated and i could see diff. i think every kind of
exceptions must be handled now.
concerning the reason for socket error: i think it can rise in such
conditions. Liquidsoap tries to communicate with shout and at this moment
some network glitch occurs. this situation is very possible in my setup,
as this script relays stream to a remote shout host. there're about 7-10
hops for packet to get it's destination, and every hop adds a possibility
for exception.
this faults will never appear (or they are very difficult to reproduce) if
both shout and liq are on the same host or in intranet, where the
connection is rather stable. but as you can see, in my case such exotic
errors can rise very easily.
