 gstreamer can be used to decode a file to stdout using the following
 command line:
 {{{
 gst-launch filesrc location="/tmp/t.mp3" ! decodebin ! audioconvert !
 'audio/x-raw-int, rate=44100, channels=2, width=16, depth=16,
 endianness=1234, signed=true' ! filesink location=/dev/stdout
 }}}

 It would be nice to add a decoder based on this in utils.liq.
