i would prefer some telnet commands, like "check_config" and
"reload_config" and "reload_playlist". check_config can check the config
file for errors and reports them by using this command. and reload_config
should reload the config file without reconnecting to the some server (in
the case that no server reconfiguration has been done). i can imagine that
such "soft-reload" (reloading conf without restarting) iss possible to
implement as a shell command (like start, stop), too. btw: a playlist
reload function by telnet would be nice, too.
