I can totally reproduce that on a fresh compiled liquidsoap SVN.
It seems that the call to {{{set("log.level",5)}}} triggers it. Here, if I
remove it it starts ok.
There must be some kind of race condition on a mutex somewhere.
I will look at this before 1.0 (beta2 if possible).
