Could you open a new ticket on our new Trac [1] regarding your 1-channel bug ? Please attach your liq script, because different operators behave differently with a strange number of channels. Concerning the more-than-two-channels test, here's probably what happens: your stereo files are changed into N channels by adding copies of the original ones (no quality gain there of course), all channels are processed (this can only take more CPU than processing two), and the output still outputs stereo, so the extra channels are completely useless in the end.... This raises a question, at least Vincent can answer me: how did you get 5-channels output ? does output.*.vorbis() support them ? with a special parameter ? what about MP3, or hardware outputs ?
