Yeah, it's too large and we should find ways to structure it more. Any ideas are welcome. As you point out, more examples would also make it more accessible, but at some point we'll have the same problem: in a too large cookbook, recipes are difficult to find. > I'm also glad you noted the point about nrj, as funnily enough I'd > started to notice some nasty audio output which does sound like > saturation and also sometimes over-clipping. For the record, the problem is quite visible at the very beginning the track "Vicky" by Trace (http://www.dolebrai.net/playlist/morceau/vicky-trace/). > Your solution to the problem does sound rather complex, and quite > onerous resource-wise however, and I don't think my current playout > system would handle that method. On Dolebraï the server was quite loaded for one or two days, now it's back to normal. I'll tell you when I write that doc, anyway. > I'm also going to pop my simple script into the wiki incase it can help > anyone in the future needing my simplistic approach, when setting my > system up I found the examples the best way of learning liquidsoap. That's a very good idea. For a while the dolebrai script was that kind of example with a good tradeoff between features and simplicity, but it is now too complex. Yours would be good in that respect.
