All,

I am new to the list and to LiquidSoap, but I have done a decent
amount of research on the server which is why I would like to work more
with it. I will start off by small questions not related to the topic,
and then go over why I am wondering with the configuration(s) I am
looking over.

I was building LiquidSoap on my system yesterday and noticed a few
things that didn't make very much sense based on what I was seeing,
though I didn't take too long to get very far into it. I was building
with GL support, and the script was complaining it couldn't find the
lablgl library, even though I found it with the rest of my ocaml
install. Very odd, but since I don't know what the GL interface is like,
or how useful it is, I reconfigured the install to not use graphics. I
can't find anything on the graphics side of the project, which kind of
sucks from a newbie perspective, but I can live with out it. The second
thing I was looking for was Samplerate libraries. I found a reference on
a Trac site related to LiquidSoap, but nothing in an easy to grab source
package like the rest of the libs.

Now that I have a working LiquidSoap server compiled (At least I
--Think-- it works, I haven't run it yet) I am looking at a few options
to do with it. Reading the documents I see a LOT of possibility of the
system and would like to exploit that to my fullest advantage after
getting my information structured.

My current setup is MPD --> Icecast --> clients

I am wondering if I can do MPD --> LiquidSoap --> Icecast --> clients
--or--
MPD --> LiquidSoap --> Icecast
             / ^ \
        Live Playlists Shoutcast

With the MPD aspect, since it is already doing streams (basic, but has
great playlist control) I am also thinking of:
MPD --> Icecast --> LiquidSoap --> New Icecast mount

Right now all the components exist on the same box, but I don't see this
a problem, but I am wondering what would be suggested on a good setup
for this

Regards
Seann
