I have sucesfuly started a stream:
  http://radiopi.org:8080/reggae.aacp

This follows what is described in ticket #136.
The code for aac output is:

def out_aacplus(~mount,~name,s) =
  def process(_) = "aacplusenc - - 64" end
  output.icecast.external(mount=mount,header=true,
     host=ice_host,port=8080,password=pass,
     description=name,url=url,restart=true,restart_on_crash=true,
     shout_raw=true,mime="audio/aacp",
     process=process,s)
end

Good luck !
