We usually use the on_metadata() operator to call an external script that can update your webpage somehow (for dolebrai this script generates an XML file loaded via AJAX). Your script can get the metadata by connecting to liquidsoap via telnet (or socket), or you can pass the metadata directly from on_metadata().
