You should either run ntpdate in a cron, or run a ntp daemon that will 
avoid your clock from drifting, this is a general matter not only 
related to liquidsoap (think proxies, mail systems, or basically 
anything that interacts using timestamps at a point so in the end, 
almost anything that communicates over internet ;)). And as Romain 
pointed out, it certainly explains those timeouts you experienced..

Maybe this could be added to the FAQ or the docs at some point, so that 
people not used to those matters of time sync get aware that liq is 
affected by a drifting clock ;)
