Hmmm.. what do you mean exactly by losing your stream ? The listener gets
disconnected ? Liquidsoap doesn't work ?

I don't really understand this. The delay is indeed for restarting the
encoder..
By the way, if you put a negative delay, the encoder will not be restarted.
However, I am not sure that aacplusenc is meant to run indefinitely, that is
why it is restarted every hour by default (3600s).
Any user feedback would be interesting on this point....
