Thanks for the update. This is the same problem as last time. The only
new bit of information that I noticed is the involvement of
smart_cross, which is a possible suspect for this kind of problem. I
don't have much time these days (until almost mid-April, I'm afraid)
to investigate more that issue.

We'll probably start by getting better logs, which involve some easy
changes in the code, but also better identifiers for sources (use
id="somethinginformative") in the script. Could you switch to using
SVN? This would be easier when I start proposing patches. If you're
already experiencing crashes you don't have too much to loose, I
think. There's also a slight chance that SVN has the bug fixed by
magic because I did some update and cleanup in cross operators.
