Hi list,

i tried to solve my configuration Problem for a couple of days now but
every time I think I found a solution
it just doesn't work out for some reason. But I think what i want to
accomplish should be quite easy. Thats what i thougt :-(

Ok here is the Problem:

We want to build a radio stream which switches each hour to an new
playlist getting completely rid of the old one.
The files the stream has to play are sorted into folders.

e.g.:

/srv/playlist/monday/1h-2h/00_Jingle.mp3
/srv/playlist/monday/1h-2h/01_Track1.mp3

/srv/playlist/monday/2h-3h/00_Jingle.mp3
/srv/playlist/monday/2h-3h/01_Track2.mp3

/srv/playlist/monday/3h-4h/00_Jingle.mp3
/srv/playlist/monday/3h-4h/01_Track3.mp3

The files get changed about the day before they are played.
The switch between the playlists must be insensitive cause the
containing tracks could be longer then one hour.
When switching to the new Track the old one should be faded out.

I can write external scripts to deliver tracks or interact with
liquidsoap by telnet.

looking forward to any suggestions how to accomplish that.

cheers, Jan
