Hi,
Now that output via icecast - ogg is working, I attempted to start shoutcast - mp3 output. Using XMMS, I received: 'Couldn't connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Server reported: 404 File Not Found' I have tried altering the network access settings in XMMS: : 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000/stream' 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000/stream.mp3' 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000/scmp3' 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000/scmp3.mp3' and even tried changing the port to :8001, running through all combos I could think of. Same error message. In icecast.xml, originally I had set the mount to 'mount=/scmp3', but changed it back to 'mount=/stream' (I hope that's what the original was set to :) **** Here's my output.shoutcast.mp3: output.shoutcast.mp3( host="xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", port=8000, password="*********", bitrate=32, samplerate=22050, stereo=false, name="", description="", genre="", public=false, url="", scmp3) **** Do I need to set the port to a different number in icecast.xml since I will also use port 8000 for output.icecast.vorbis(). (Mind you, while running these shoutcast tests, I had disabled ogg output.) What am I doing wrong here? What should I enter into the player's network setup to access the stream? Sigh . . . this project has been 'fight-every-inch-of-the-way'. I'll be relieved once it's up and running!
