You might want to check the permissions, owner/group ids and / or
<Directory>-directives of your Apache-configuration
By default Apache should only allow files to be served/executed within
the www-root and deny everything else:
...
DocumentRoot /var/www
<Directory />
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
</Directory>
<Directory /var/www/>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
allow from all
</Directory>
...
A sample from your case would look something like
