I believe traditional broadcast radio companies use manually created playlists
or playlist building tools, and build out playlists days, weeks or months in
advance.
This is just my opinion, but if you want to operate like them, then you'll
probably have to play the role of program director or build, or maybe buy, a
playlist builder. Something like Music1, and feed those playlists to
liquidsoap. Either by having liquidsoap switch through those generated
playlists, or read items out of those playlists via a script called from a
dynamic request.
