There seems to be an issue with the AO library. It seems that its version is 
too old, If you do not neet to output to the local soundcard, I would recommend 
to simply disable ocaml-ao in your PACKAGES file.

But, before that, you may retry to compile with the following remarks:
 * Do NOT run configure or make as root. First, it is a security issue but also 
it seems that for some users, the configure script doesn't do good to their 
/dev/null file.. Only make install should be run as root.
 * Each time you configure, make sure you do "make clean" before make, to make 
sure you get rid of the previous build..
