As advised by Samuel (thanks:), I decided to go with 1.0 beta 2. I'm using the liquidsoap-1.0.0-beta2.1-full archive. I managed to solve some problems when configuring and making, but now i'm really stuck with the following error:

OCAMLOPT -o liquidsoap
No implementations provided for the following modules:
  Dynlink referenced from tools/utils.cmx

I found a mention on the mailing list on June 27 but no answer.
Can anyone help ?
thanks

Hi,

I can't answer for harbor (did you try to disable authentification to test?).

Concerning the icecast output, the syntax has changed between 0.9.3 and 1.0 beta: in the latest, you should use output.icecast(%mp3, ...) instead of output.icecast.mp3(...), cf. the docs on the website. I encourage you to switch to the 1.0 beta version since many bugs have been fixed and many features have been added in it.

I managed to get rid of the error and start liquidsoap by
reinstalling it with the following sources:
    deb http://www.rastageeks.org/downloads/liquidsoap/ ./
    deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org lenny main
    deb http://www.backports.org/debian lenny-backports main contrib
    non-free

the version that installed is 0.9.3.

Which came from another server I had set up with liquidsoap. I
thought I had followed the same instructions back then, but it
    seems not.

Now, I get this in my log file when I try to connect to the harbor
    from Nicecast:
    2011/07/17 23:26:29 [harbor:3] New client: ip93xxxxxxxxxe.net
    <http://ip93xxxxxxxxxe.net>
    2011/07/17 23:26:29 [harbor:3] Returned 401: wrong auth.
    2011/07/17 23:26:29 [harbor:3] Failed: wrong source authentification

I believe the settings in Nicecast are all correct as defined in
my .liq files. now what's funny is that my other server which used
to work (has worked for months) also now gives me the same "wrong
    auth" messages.
I typed and re-typed and checked and re-checked the passwords,
both in Nicecast and on the server.

Am I just going nuts? could my ISP be interfering (I guess not,
for I am able to reach the server)?

Adding set("harbor.password.verbose",true) to my script does not
change anything to the log records.

Thanks if you have time to point me in the right direction

    Regards,
    Thomas

    Hi,

I installed Liquidsoap by following the instructions on the page
    http://savonet.sourceforge.net/debian_daily.html

I must have done something wrong because I get the "unbound symbol
    output.icecast.mp3" error message.

I'm on Debian 5 "Lenny", and I might also add that I have added the
sources in my sources.list file and run apt-get update before installing.
Liquidsoap tells me its version is 0.9.2.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks

    Thomas
