howdy if you wish Liquidsoap not to remove silences on your behalf then locate all occurrences of strip_blank(), skip_blank(), and eat_blank() within your scripts. At the opposite, if you want Liquidsoap to trim/crop/skip silences then use one of these functions (you can put them before or after functions that change the volume of your stream, it depends whether the base volume of your stream remains stable, and your tastes.) You can refer to the documentation and check their functional differences.
