You're not doing anything wrong. Daily packages are simply outdated...

This package is only available in debian testing/unstable. If you
really want it, you can recompile one for your debian distribution.
Otherwise, you may simply use AAC+ encoding, provided by libaacplus
which is available through debian-multimedia.
