Which version are you using? In older version there was a very rare
bug (only me experienced it as far as I know) where some queues
(playlists, user requests, etc.) would get stuck and typically the
default playlist would play forever.

Otherwise, if it's a blank detection issue, you should be able to see
it in your logs.
