I can't seem to find any documentation on references? Is it string.ref
as mentioned in this FAQ? https://wiki.sourcefabric.org/display/LS/FAQ

Also, I can't get this line to parse:
  ({ !ref == "playlist" }, playlist),

Line 19, char 13 before "==": Parse error!

What is the {} construct? a function?
