Thanks for the reply.

I -did- do a make install as root; sudo make install in Ubuntu's world. 

Perhaps make install is missing this action?  The only pervasives.liq on my 
machine are under the 1.0.1 folder (the old version) and in the build directory.

I would like to get the files to the place they should go.
