Hi and really, really sorry for the super later response..

Basically, you need to pass liq_fade_in and liq_fade_out metadata,
most likely using the annotate protocol and then use an operator such
as smart_crossfade() or crossfade() or even write your own crossfade
using cross() and smart_cross()
